Dear Mr. Amery,
I see that the Hong Kong University is anxious
to obtain further funds, and I therefore venture to
ask you whether you could give me any private guid-
ance on the following points:-
Is not the Hong Kong University likely to par-
ticipate under the Foxer Indemnity, and, if this is
so, when some action may be expected in the alloca-
tion of funds under this scheme?
I quite realise that the trouble in China is
hampering, but is it not the case that some of the
money is already in the possession of the Hong Long
and Shanghai Bank?
